What’s happening in the gardens?

New Greenhouse! Gardens of Alcatraz volunteers built a beautiful cedar greenhouse in the Rose Garden this past winter, which will become the island's plant propagation center. During the military and federal prison periods, the Rose Garden was the hub of gardening operations and a greenhouse stood on this same site. For more photos click here.
